Noida: Taking a strict stance on poor sanitation services, the Noida Authority has imposed a hefty fine of ₹10,38,290 on AG Enviro Infra Projects Private Limited for negligence in waste collection and cleanliness operations across the city.
The action comes after repeated complaints from residents regarding irregular door-to-door garbage collection and deteriorating sanitation conditions. According to the authority, the agency failed to deploy an adequate number of garbage collection vehicles. Around 25 per cent of the deployed vehicles were reportedly non-functional and had not been repaired. Even the operational vehicles were not consistently covering villages and sectors, leading to mounting garbage issues.
Due to the irregular services, residents were compelled to dump waste in open spaces and along main roads, adversely affecting the city’s cleanliness and public image.
Final warning isued
The authority stated that the lapse constitutes a direct violation of Article 10 (Penalties and Fines) of the contract agreement. The penalty has been imposed for the period between March 25, 2026 and March 31, 2026, during which the agency was found absent from duty and negligent in service delivery.
Issuing a stern warning, the authority has directed the agency to strictly adhere to contractual obligations moving forward. It also cautioned that failure to improve services could result in more severe punitive action in the future.
