According to the family, Shivam Bhati, a resident of Chithehra, admitted his wife to Naveen Hospital on October 5 for delivery. After the birth of their daughter, doctors referred the newborn to Gopal Nursing Home, citing her low birth weight and the availability of a nursery facility there.
The parents allege that the baby was given a wrong injection, after which her hand turned blue and began to dry up, with bones now visible. They claim the nursing home later referred the baby to another hospital without informing them properly, where she is currently undergoing treatment.
The family has lodged a complaint with Dadri police, who have written to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for an investigation.
Taking cognizance of the issue, Samajwadi Party leader Mohit Nagar has demanded strict action against the accused doctors and warned that if no action is taken by Sunday, the party will stage a protest outside Gopal Nursing Home.
