Eagle specially abled riders : World’s longest saugamya awareness ride on the retrofitted scooter

New Delhi: Eagle Specially Abled Riders Aamir and Govinda have made history by doing the World’s Longest Sugamya Awareness Ride of 5500 thousand kilometres. The main reason for making the record is that this ride was finished by the retrofitted Scooter for the first time in the history of India.

This event took place on 10th November

It started from Modern School, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi with the theme of “Purvottar ko jano, Bharat ko jano”. It started from New Delhi and reached to Northeast on 28th November 2023.

Ride was completed in 18 days

For the empowerment of the Indian National Highways, this ride was organized by Shri Atul Chandrakant Kulkarni, President, of Amazing Namaste Foundation.

In Delhi, Chief Guest Ranjan Mukherjee, State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Delhi, Dr Vijay Dutta, Principal, Modern School, Barakhamba Road, Delhi and Delina Khongdup, Member, National Commission for Women, Delhi and Naresh Sachdeva, Officer, Modern School, Delhi flagged off the world’s longest accessible awareness ride of 5500 km.

In the North East, the ride was flagged off from Raj Bhawan by Gulab Chand Kataria, the Governor of Assam, Guwahati and the riders were given a warm welcome at Raj Bhawan, Shillong (Meghalaya). Sugamya awareness passed through major cities like Delhi, Etawah, Ayodhya, Gorakhpur, Darbhanga, Kishanganj, Jalpaiguri, Guwahati, Shillong, Dauki, Haflong, Siliguri, Muzaffarpur, Patna, Lucknow etc.

The objective of the Sugamya Awareness Ride is to connect persons with disabilities with the mainstream of society, empower them, enhance their dignity, equality and independence and develop an inclusive society. The ride was led by Anirban Dey, Ride Coordinator was Prasad Jog.

The objective of the adventure ride “Purvottar ko jano, Bharat ko jano” was to understand the History, Geography, Language, Food, Costumes, Culture and Tribal life of the North-Eastern states and to bring the North-East closer to the rest of India.

‘Biggest adventure ride in the world’

Aamir Siddiqi, Eagle Rider says, “This journey was the biggest adventure ride in the world. We stopped at many places during the ride and encouraged the disabled people who consider disability as their weakness, to make disability a strength and inspired them that if you can do something If you want to do it, no obstacles can ever stop you.

Eagle Specially Abled Riders have been organizing accessible awareness rides for the last 6 years and this work, the team has received awards from the Chief Minister, Cabinet Minister, Dr Batra People’s Choice Award, Limca Book of Records, India Book of Records, World Records India, World Has been honoured by Book of Records, Book of Records International and World Book of Talent Records.

Eagle Specially Abled Riders not only works to spread awareness through rides but also helps in encouraging the disabled, also playing an important role towards the disabled in the first and second dangerous wave of Corona.
