NEET UG 2024 syllabus updated; Check list of topics and other details



The National Medical Commission (NMC) has notified the release of the revised NEET UG syllabus which will be effective from the 2024 session.
NEET UG 2024 aspirants preparing to take the exam, can check the syllabus from the official site- nmc.org.in.
The notice by the NMC Undergraduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB) reads,
“The same [syllabus] has been uploaded on NMC’s website for the reference of the public at large. The stakeholders are advised to refer to the updated syllabus for NEET (UG) -2024 for the preparation of the study material and for preparation of NEET(UG) examinations for the academic session 2024-25..”
The syllabus for NEET 2024 comprises of majorly three main subjects: Physics, Biology and Chemistry. The revised pattern is on the same lines as NEET 2023, with very minor changes to the list of topics. The following is the official notification of the revised list of topics for NEET UG 2024:

The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced that the NEET UG 2024 exam will be held in May 2024.
The NTA releases the NEET UG notification every year in December, so we can expect the NEET 2024 notification to be released in December 2023. The notification will contain all the important details about the exam, such as the eligibility criteria, syllabus, exam pattern, and registration procedure.

The NEET UG exam is highly competitive with only a small fraction of the aspirants appearing able to qualify for it. A total of 20.38 lakh candidates appeared for NEET UG 2023. This is the highest number of aspirants to have appeared for the exam to date.

NEET UG, or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate), is an all-India pre-medical entrance examination for students who wish to pursue undergraduate medical (MBBS), dental (BDS), and AYUSH (BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, etc.) courses in government and private institutions.
Indian received the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) recognition for the National Medical Commission (NMC), in September 2023. This allows Indian medical graduates to practice medicine in countries affiliated to the WFME.
