Noida : Under the leadership of Police Commissioner Gautam Buddh Nagar, Laxmi Singh, a special panel discussion was organized on the theme “Need of the Hour: Cyber Security Protocols for Public & Private Enterprises” to address the rising threats in the digital era.
The event took place on 31 October 2025 at the Gautam Buddh Nagar Police Commissionerate Auditorium. Senior cyber security experts from multinational companies, tech organizations, academia and police officials took part in the session, making it a highly insightful and collaborative initiative.
Cyber threats are rapidly evolving
While inaugurating the program, Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh emphasized the urgent need for strong cyber security systems across all sectors. She stated that cybercrime today has grown more complex and dangerous, with increasing cases of:
Financial fraud
Data theft
Social engineering & phishing attacks
Ransomware threats
To counter these challenges, she highlighted the importance of:
Robust security protocols
Regular system audits
Cyber awareness training for employees
Strong inter-agency coordination
She also mentioned that the Police Commissionerate is continuously running awareness campaigns for citizens, students, and corporate institutions to prevent cybercrime through knowledge and preparedness.
A collective duty
Experts during the discussion stressed that cyber security is not merely a technological function it is a shared responsibility. Public and private organizations, law enforcement, and citizens must work together to safeguard the digital ecosystem.

Senior officers including Additional Police Commissioner (Law & Order) Dr. Rajeev Narayan Mishra and In-charge DCP Cyber Crime Shaivya Goyal were also present at the event.
