Alternatively, you could use the upcoming Mumbai Metro Line 8 (Gold Line), which will directly connect CSMIA Airport-NMIA.

How to reach CSMIA?: For now, from what it looks like on paper

Option 1: You will have to reach Ghatkopar for Metro-1 (Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar corridor) which takes to Western Express Highway, from where you can transfer to Metro-7 (Andheri East to Dahisar East) and then its extension 7A, which connects Andheri East to CSMIA T2. Or from line 1 go to Metro-3 (at Marol Naka) and head to CSMIA station along the way.

Option 2: Take Metro-5 (Kalyan-Thane), at Kapurbawdi, you can switch to Metro-4 (Kasarvadavli-Wadala). From Wadala, head to line 3 (Siddhivinayak station), which is 400 m away and passes through CSMIA (Airport-T1).

Yes. Metro-5 will connect Kalyan to Thane. Line 4 will take from Kasarvadavali to Wadala. There is a plan for Line 11, which will connect Wadala to Gateway of India and CSMT.
