Passengers on an Air India flight from Bengaluru to Mumbai received an early Christmas surprise at the Mumbai airport baggage belt, part of a festive activation organised by Marriott Bonvoy. Gift boxes were placed on the conveyor belt, each tagged with a passenger’s seat number, bringing an unexpected smile to travellers arriving in the city.
The collection features a curated range of handcrafted Christmas offerings, including festive cakes, cookies, hampers and interactive DIY treats.

He even dropped a photo of the contents of the box. “Landed in Mumbai from Bengaluru and walked into a genuinely heartwarming surprise at the baggage belt. Christmas gifts for every passenger. Each gift box tagged with your seat number. Small gesture, big smile. Merry Christmas! Thank you Air India for making the day a little more special,” his caption read.

Some users, however, pointed out the branding visible around the conveyor belt and noted that the activation appeared to be a Marriott Bonvoy campaign, not specific to any one airline. The festive hampers were also given to passengers of IndiGo and other carriers.
“This marketing campaign has likely nothing to do with Air India, though…” an individual remarked.

The gesture reflects how a small gift can make an individual’s day, especially during the holiday season.
