Noida: Noida is no longer just a part of Delhi-NCR, but has become a fast-growing name in the list of top-10 “Silicon City” of the country. According to the latest data from the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM), Noida has reached the seventh position in terms of investment in the IT sector in the year 2023-24. At the same time, it remains at number one in the NCR region, leaving behind Gurugram.
Experts believe that in the coming time, due to the launch of Noida International Airport and better connectivity, Noida’s position will be even stronger in terms of IT and tech investment.
IT investment of more than two lakh crores in five years
Between the years 2019 and 2024, an investment of ₹ 2,11,614.61 crore has been registered in the IT sector in Noida. During this period, an investment of ₹1,56,339.88 crore was made in the same industry in Gurugram. In this way, Noida has proved itself as an IT hub in NCR.
Total investment proposals in Noida have registered a growth of 470% during this period, with the largest share being from the IT and real estate sectors. Noida has also taken a big step towards semiconductor manufacturing – the first semiconductor park is being developed here on 48 acres, in which 13 companies have agreed to invest so far.
Noida ranked seventh among the top 10 IT investment cities in the country
According to the data for the financial year 2023-24, Noida is ranked seventh and Gurugram sixth in terms of IT investment across the country. While traditional tech hubs like Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune and Chennai remain at the top.

So far 97 companies in the IT sector have given investment proposals in Noida. This trend indicates that in the coming years, Noida can become the next big tech hub of the country. Inspired by schemes like NITI Aayog and ‘Digital India’ of the Central Government, Noida has now become the fastest emerging preferred destination for investors and startups.
