The JSW MG Motor has finally launched a premium-class MPV called M9. The model has been released at the starting price of Rs 69.90 lakh (ex-showroom). It is available only in a single fully loaded version. It made its official presence at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo.
Ever since the latest offering from the brand under its premium arm ‘MG Select’ made its presence in the Indian market, it has received both positive and negative responses from customers.
Social Media Reaction
While some internet users call it the baby of Toyota Vellfire and Kia Carnival, some call it a pure disaster in electric avatar. The potential buyers somehow showed some interest, but said the model could be better if it were ICE or Hybrid.
Fails To Impress Masses?
Amid all the criticism, it would be interesting to see if the apartment-size MPV will be able to dominate the segment or not. Meanwhile, the EV somehow turn heads in the market with its futuristic design, a big thanks to a boxy design and fully LED treatment at both ends. It has been treated with a futuristic set of LED units at the back with a trending connected light bar.
Top USPs
The EV comes with power-sliding rear doors and has a 3-row seating arrangement that can accommodate up to 7 people. Apart from this, it also gets 3-zone automatic climate control and dual sunroofs. The MPV has been treated with a 12.23-inch touchscreen infotainment system with all the wireless car-connect technology.
