Noida: A moment of pride for Noida as Meenu Yadav, an emerging cricketer from Parthala Khanjarpur in Sector 122, has been selected for the Uttar Pradesh Senior Women’s One Day Cricket Team. Her selection has sparked happiness and celebration across the area. Meenu Yadav is the daughter of former Samajwadi Party Metropolitan President Subey Yadav. Her inclusion in the state’s senior women’s team is the result of consistent hard work and strong on-field performance.

Before the final team selection, a ten-day training camp was organised in Lucknow for shortlisted players. This was followed by a four-day final camp, after which the UP Senior Women’s One Day team was announced. Based on her impressive performance during these camps, Meenu earned her place in the squad. Known as a fast bowler, Meenu has also established herself as a capable all-rounder. The Uttar Pradesh Senior Women’s team will participate in the One Day Trophy starting from 6 February in Rajkot, Gujarat.

Following her selection, there is a wave of happiness among her family members and local residents. Sports enthusiasts and people from the area have described this achievement as a proud moment for Noida. Senior Samajwadi Party leader Raghavendra Dubey congratulated Meenu Yadav and said that through her dedication, discipline and talent, she has brought honour to Noida. He added that today, daughters are excelling in every field and Meenu’s success will inspire many other young girls to move forward and pursue their dreams.
