At the premiere of his film Tumko Meri Kasam, which the seasoned director would present, Anupam Kher gave Mahesh Bhatt—his guru dakshina—a sum of Rs 300.
Anupam Kher said that he has always respected Mahesh Bhatt and given him money for each movie when questioned about his relationship with the actor since Saaransh. When Anupam opened his pocket, just Rs 300 was visible. Bhatt made fun of him and asked him to make sure his pocket was clean.
