Greater Noida: In a startling reflection of poor urban infrastructure, Paramount Golf Forest — one of Greater Noida’s most upscale housing societies — has been submerged in rainwater following heavy showers on Saturday. The waterlogged premises have affected nearly 3,000 families, turning daily life into a nightmare.
After the downpour, streets, basements, and even parking areas inside the society were completely flooded. Residents found it nearly impossible to walk, let alone reach their vehicles. “It was like a mini flood inside the society,” said a resident. “Our children and elderly parents were trapped indoors. It’s a safety hazard.”
Videos from the society circulating on social media show people wading through waist-deep water. In one widely shared clip, a young man is seen riding a scooter through a waterlogged internal lane — a scene more reminiscent of a rural floodplain than a gated, premium township.

Residents say this is not a one-off incident. “Every monsoon we face the same situation,” said Rahul, who has lived in the society for four years. “Despite repeated complaints, the management has not fixed the faulty drainage system. The water collects fast, and there’s nowhere for it to go.”
Paramount Golf Forest boasts of luxury villas and premium flats priced in crores, but the ground reality tells a different story. Residents allege that the promises of modern infrastructure and hassle-free living made by the builder have failed to translate into actual delivery.
“People invested their life savings to live here. But what we get is waterlogged roads, unclean drains, and zero accountability,” said another resident. “It’s shocking that such a premium project can collapse in the face of a single day’s rain.”
The repeated flooding has triggered anger and anxiety among homeowners, who are now demanding immediate intervention from the Greater Noida Authority and holding the builder accountable for negligence and poor planning.
