Greater Noida West : The ongoing protest by residents of La Residentia has entered multiple days with increasing participation and unique forms of demonstration, as residents continue their 10-day peaceful sit-in against the builder over incomplete construction and lack of basic facilities. In a show of solidarity, senior women from the society’s mandir committee organized a bhajan kirtan at the protest site. The devotional gathering was led by Neeta Aggarwal and Shakuntala Kapoor, adding a spiritual dimension to the ongoing agitation.

Residents also introduced an innovative concept called “Work From Protest”, where professionals working from home gathered at the protest site with their laptops to continue their office work while supporting the cause.

We understand it is a working day, but we want to show that we can balance both our responsibilities and our fight for rights.

The initiative sent a strong message of unity, as people from different walks of life came together at the site.

Participants on the day included Neeta Aggarwal, Shivgyan Sharma and Nalini Mehrotra, who actively supported the protest activities.

Residents also highlighted that while they are protesting peacefully, they are adopting creative and symbolic ways to express their concerns.

While the builder is enjoying with our money, residents are finding meaningful and disciplined ways to protest.

Community bonding has been a key highlight of the protest. Residents were seen preparing food together, with vegetables being sorted and meals like khichdi being planned collectively at the site.

On the fourth day of the protest, the theme focused on women-led participation, where women carried out household chores at the protest site as a symbolic act. The theme ghar ka kaam + haq ki ladai reflected how residents are continuing daily life while demanding their rights.

The same day also featured a special initiative for children titled “Masti ki Pathshala” held at 5:00 pm. Children participated in learning and fun activities and also shared their experiences and challenges of living in society during the protest.

Earlier in the day, a health check-up camp was organised at the protest site, where more than 70 residents availed medical services.

Residents also claimed that a police team visited the site and attempted to contact the builder’s directors. However, according to residents, the calls went unanswered.

On the fifth day, women residents planned a Ram Amritvani paath at 3:00 pm, praying for strength and resolution while continuing their peaceful protest.

Despite challenges, including a recent storm that blew away the protest tent, residents reinstalled it and continued their demonstration. By the ninth day, senior citizens had also rejoined the protest, highlighting the sustained determination of the community.

The protest remains peaceful but resolute, with participation from all age groups. This is not just a protest anymore; it has become a collective movement of the community.

Residents

They reiterated that the protest will continue until the builder addresses their long-standing demands and ensures proper basic facilities for all residents.
