Noida : Krishna Janmashtami, the festival celebrating the birth of Lord Krishna, became even more meaningful this year at Sector-70, Noida. The center, which works tirelessly for the empowerment and rehabilitation of specially-abled children, turned into a vibrant space of colors, devotion, and boundless joy on Saturday.
What made the celebration truly unique was the way differently-abled children stepped into the roles of Krishna, Radha, and their companions. With their graceful performances, heart-touching expressions, and sheer confidence, they transported everyone into the divine world of Vrindavan.
A Day Full of Divine Performances
From the Sudaama Charit—depicting Krishna’s deep bond of friendship—to the mesmerizing Raas-Leela and beautifully crafted Krishna-Radha Jhanki, every performance carried a charm of its own. Traditional songs, devotional dances, and small yet impactful theatrical acts filled the atmosphere with spirituality and emotion.
Parents, guests, and social workers present in the audience were moved not just by the children’s talent, but also by their unstoppable spirit.
Guests Who Encouraged & Inspired
The event was graced by Fire Officer Yogendra Chaurasia and poetess Shashi Pandey as chief guests. Both applauded the children and shared that such platforms are essential to showcase the unlimited potential of specially-abled children.
The Foundation’s directors, Dr. Mahipal Singh and Dr. Deeksha Srivastava, warmly welcomed the dignitaries. Organizers Ilika Rawat and Krishna Yadav along with program hosts Dr. Sushmita Bhati and Soumya Soni added life and emotions to the event, making it engaging and memorable.
Administrative head Krishna Yadav and center manager Surbhi Jain honored the guests with flowers and mementos, adding a personal touch to the celebration.
More Than a Celebration
The program concluded with a soulful bhajan session and prasadam distribution. But the true takeaway of the day was the radiance on the children’s faces. Their joy, confidence, and sense of achievement proved that festivals like Janmashtami are not just about rituals, but also about inclusion, empowerment, and acceptance.
As the echoes of devotional songs lingered in the air, one thought remained in everyone’s heart:
“Talent knows no barriers. All it needs is a stage, love, and encouragement to shine bright.”
