JSSC announces Lady Supervisor Recruitment for 2023, apply for 448 vacancies on jssc.nic.in



JSSC Lady Supervisor exam 2023: Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has released a notification for the recruitment of Lady Supervisors for the year 2023. The recruitment drive is being conducted under the Women, Child Development, and Social Security Department, Ranchi, as per the Government of Jharkhand‘s letter no. 2160, dated 13.04.2023. Interested candidates are invited to submit their applications online through the official website of the Commission, www.jssc.nic.in.
Candidates applying for the Jharkhand Women Supervisor Competitive Examination – 2023 must meet the educational qualifications and age criteria specified in the prospectus. The examination fee for this recruitment is Rs. 100/-, except for candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Scheduled Castes (SC) of Jharkhand, who have a reduced fee of Rs. 50/-. Additionally, candidates with a disability of 40% or more from Jharkhand are also exempted from the examination fee, as per the Department of Personnel’s letter no. 8559, dated 23.10.2019.
The total number of vacancies available for the Lady Supervisor post is 444, distributed across various categories as follows:
Unreserved: 187
Scheduled Tribes: 101
Scheduled Castes: 35
Extremely Backward Class (Scheduled-I): 42
Backward Class (Scheduled-II): 35
Economically Weaker Section: 44
Please note that the number of vacancies may be subject to revision based on the applicant department’s request. Out of the advertised Scheduled Tribes vacancies, 2% are reserved for tribal candidates. In case suitable Primitive Tribe candidates are not available, these vacancies will be filled by Scheduled Tribe candidates.
The Lady Supervisor position falls under Group B Non-Gazetted category with a Pay Matrix Level of 6, ranging from Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400. To be eligible for this position, candidates are required to have a minimum educational qualification of being a female graduate in Sociology, Psychology, or Home Science from a recognized University or Institute. It’s crucial that candidates have obtained this qualification by the last date of application submission, as the last date will be considered the reference date for determining eligibility.

The age limit for the Lady Supervisor position will be calculated based on the reference dates mentioned below:
Minimum Age Limit: 21 years
Maximum Age Limit: 38 years (As determined by the Department of Personnel, Administrative Reforms, and Official Language, Resolution No. 29, dated – 04.01.2021.)
For women candidates in Unreserved, SC, Extremely Backward Class (Schedule-1), and Backward Class (Schedule-2) categories, the maximum age limit is 38 years, while Scheduled Tribe/Scheduled Caste (Female) candidates can apply up to 40 years of age. All categories of disabled candidates will receive an additional relaxation of 10 years in the maximum age limit, provided their disability is at least 40% or more, as confirmed by the competent medical board.

Applications for the Lady Supervisor position can be submitted through the official website www.jssc.nic.in. Before filling out the application form, candidates are advised to carefully read the advertisement and brochure, ensuring they have all the required certificates and documents.
Applicants should ensure that their name, father’s name, and other details match exactly with those in their Matriculation/10th certificate or mark sheet. Any deviation in spelling or use of titles like Shri/Mister/Shriman before the name should be avoided.
The application process includes multiple stages, such as registration, entering information, payment of examination fee, uploading of photographs and signatures, and final submission of the application form. It’s essential to verify all entered information for accuracy before submitting the application.
Candidates should note that submitting more than one online application will lead to the cancellation of all previous applications, and the examination fees will not be refunded. An opportunity to amend certain details will be provided from 31.10.2023 to midnight of 02.11.2023.
The examination for the Lady Supervisor position will be conducted through a Computer-Based Test (CBT), with normalization of marks in case multiple exam groups are required. The examination will consist of three papers, including Language Knowledge, Identified Tribal and Regional Language, and Main Examination. All questions, except for language subjects, will be in Hindi and English.
Candidates must obtain a minimum qualifying mark of 30% in each paper, and any candidate scoring less than this will be considered unsuccessful and ineligible for selection. Reserved category candidates will have different qualifying marks.
