Greater Noida West : Tensions flared at JKG Palm Court society in Greater Noida West after a woman resident was allegedly threatened at her flat by members of the society’s sales team. Following the incident, a large group of residents, mostly women, gathered outside the sales office to protest against the alleged misconduct.
According to residents, the incident began on the evening of October 15, when Muskan Jain, a flat owner and resident, encountered a sales representative in the lift while the latter was escorting a customer for a flat visit. When the customer casually asked Jain for feedback about the society, she reportedly mentioned that registry issues were ongoing in the project.
This, residents allege, angered the sales staff, who then misbehaved with her. Later, a group of 4–5 salesmen allegedly reached her flat, repeatedly rang the doorbell and attempted to intimidate her from outside. Jain, who was alone at home, panicked and immediately informed her husband, Ankush Jain, who sought help through a residents’ WhatsApp group. Neighbours quickly intervened, following which the sales staff reportedly left the premises.
The next day, angered by the incident, residents gathered in large numbers to protest outside the sales office, demanding accountability and safety assurances. The sales team, however, refused to disclose the name of the staff involved, though they promised such behaviour would not be repeated.
The victim has filed a complaint at the Gaur City Police Chowki, demanding prompt police action and alleging that if anything happens to her or her family, the salespersons should be held responsible. Police officials have reportedly assured a fair investigation.
Residents claim that this is not the first such incident at JKG Palm Court. There have been previous allegations of sales staff intimidating residents, especially those protesting against pending property registry issues. Earlier, the builder had also drawn criticism for allegedly seeking names, numbers, and flat details of residents participating in protests via email.
