Is it just us, or does the ‘Animal’ song ‘Hua Main’ remind you of ‘Kaala Jaadu’ from ‘Freddy’ as well? | Hindi Movie News

The internet couldn’t stop raving about the passionate romance between Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna in the song Hua Main from their upcoming film Animal. While we have no complaints either and are smitten by the chemistry of this new pair, we couldn’t help noticing that this music sounds familiar. It took us no time to figure out that it was Kartik Aaryan starrer Freddy song Kaala Jaaduthat had music quite similar to Hua Main.It comes as no surprise then that both the songs have been composed byPritam Chakraborty.
One may wonder what made Pritam re-sample his own creation for another film. A senior music arranger from the film industry tells ETimes, “I agree that the tune and orchestration of Kaala Jaadu and Hua Main are very similar. But then, it’s also a fact that most modern musicians re-sample their creations quite often. Both songs are composed by Pritam and I think he has the freedom to sample his own creation.”

Hua Main has been sung by Raghav Chaitanya and Pritam. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal also stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Triptii Dimri in pivotal roles. The teaser of the film gave us a glimpse of an abusive father-son relationship that becomes darker going forward. The film is slated to release in theatres on December 1.
