Ghaziabad: A case of a loose pitbull attacking a child has come to light in Ghaziabad. The case is from Vasundhara Sector-15 of the Indirapuram Kotwali area which took place on June 22, 2024. The victim has filed a case against the dog’s owner in Indirapuram Kotwali.
Gaurav Nanda lives in Vasundhara Sector-13, on June 22, he was going to drop his two sons to the tuition centre in Vasundhara Sector-15 on a scooter. During this, a loose pitbull attacked him on the way. He could not save himself from the sudden attack of the dog and all three including the scooter fell on the road. Before he could understand what had happened, after falling on the road, the pitbull tried to grab and bite his younger son Nihaan with its paws. He tried to save him, but nothing could save them from a brutal attack.
Gaurav Nanda alleges that the dog belongs to a person living in the house opposite the incident spot, who was walking it on the open road without tying it to a chain. When the dog attacked, the accused did not try to stop it and then when the dog moved away, he took the dog to his house. Gaurav Nanda has lodged a report in this matter at Indirapuram police station.
ACP Swatantra Kumar Singh of Indirapuram police station said that a report has been lodged against the dog owner. Further action will be taken after the investigation.
