Date of exam
The specific date, time, and venue of the examination will be sent to candidates through their registered mobile number or email ID. Admit cards can be obtained from the website https://karmic.andaman.gov.in/HQANC, and candidates should check the website for additional instructions or updates.
Qualification
Completion of the 10th standard from an accredited Board/Institution and possession of a certificate from a recognized Industrial Training Institute in the relevant trade.
Age criteria
Candidates can be between 18 to 25 years of age.
Age relaxation is applicable as follows:
- For SC/ST individuals, there is a relaxation of 5 years beyond the upper age limit.
- OBC candidates can avail a relaxation of 3 years.
- Ex-servicemen can add the period of their Military Service plus an additional 3 years to their age.
- Government Servants can receive relaxation up to 40 years, following the Central Government’s instructions or orders, with an additional 5 years for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (SC/ST). UR individuals can avail up to 40 years, while SC/ST candidates can benefit from up to 45 years (40 + 5).
Mode of selection
Primarily, the mode of selection is a written examination. There will be no interview round for selection.

However, in case the number of online applications for the posts with Matriculation as the educational requirement exceeds the available vacancies, the Indian Navy may, at its discretion, limit the eligible candidates for the written test.
This limitation is based on merit and is set at a ratio of 1:25, in relation to the number of vacancies. The selection for this shortlisting is determined by the marks obtained in the minimum educational qualification required, which is Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized Board.
Written examination round:
Shortlisted candidates will have to take a 2-hour written exam with objective questions based on the essential qualifications. The question paper will be bilingual in English and Hindi, except for the General English section.

Step 2: Click on “Apply Online” and select “Recruitment for the post of Tradesman Mate, Headquarters, Andaman and Nicobar Command.”
Step 3: Before proceeding, carefully read and download the online information guidelines that contain instructions for completing the Online Application Form. Ensure that you meet the required criteria and possess the necessary educational qualifications specified in the recruitment advertisement.
Step 4: After submission, take a printout of the application form for your personal records. Remember, you must bring a printout of the admit card to the written examination venue. Without it, you will not be allowed to participate in the examination.
Make sure to provide a valid and active email address and mobile number. As per the notification, HQANC/Indian Navy will use either of these methods to communicate at different stages of the process such as exam day and date, test centre, admit card etc. Once entered, no change in the mobile number and email ID will be allowed.
