Rajiva Singh says, “In this 9th convention meet 100 elderly citizens joined who are also the residents of Sector 50. “

Meghdootam Senior Welfare Forum is with senior citizens in their thick and thins

Keeping this in view, Meghdootam Senior Welfare Forum of Noida is celebrating events and also organising the workshops keeping the treasure of our society in mind, that’s Senior citizens.

“Senior Citizens are the ideological guides in any society”

There was a good discussion among the dignitaries related to Senior citizens. Also, at the personal level, they need to have good health, happiness, the sensitivity of all the institutions towards them, their safety, and economic security and to have facilities for them in public places.

Core duty is to check the mental well-being of the elders

The welfare association is working to be the next family of each elder citizen of this association. Here all the topics were discussed with the sole aim of elder wellbeing be it emotional health, or mental health.

Rajiva Singh, President of NOFAA says, “Today’s scene is that families are living apart either happily or due to any reason, the senior citizens are left back, many don’t wish to leave their home town. Loneliness gives them panic attacks, and their health deteriorates. This association works to build their broken heart and that shaken health, it is such a noble cause in which true reward only God will give.”

The senior citizens are not tech-savvy

To save them from financial fraud, the workshops are organised. Rajiva says, “Senior citizen’s money is hard earned and they have very limited money with them. They are not tech-savvy and limited people they are connected with, so they are more prone to cyber fraud.

Medical and Yogic well-being

The senior citizens can be seen here doing yoga and meditation. They are regularly checked up overall, Health camps are organised from time to time.

The administration should have senior citizen infrastructure

In most marketplaces, there are no ramps. Societies should be senior citizen-friendly. There should be proper patrolling of police so that no attack on senior citizens. The construction should be done keeping them in mind. Proper walkways, seats at the side of roads after every few meters etc.

Private sector citizens do not have a medical facility

Those elders who had private jobs are not covered in the medical governmental schemes.
Senior citizens should be also given benefits like Ayushman Bharat gives 5 lakh rupees to medicinal facilities but they are not given. They can not get medically insured after 70 years of age. They are not getting concessions in trains.

Senior citizens feel lonely

They work their whole lives, but in their last years are feeling very uncomfortable. They want someone to talk to them, and take care of them.

Restart the Good Morning sewa by Police

Good Morning Seva when the elder citizens were alone, the Police were asked to take care of visiting per week. But this sewa stopped all of a sudden. This was a positive step towards the emotional well-being of any elder who was living life alone after the departure of the spouse.
