Candidates can apply for the undergraduate design programmes by registering on the official website- uceedapp.iitb.ac.in.
The last date to apply for the exam is October 31, 11:55PM. However, candidates will still be able to apply till November 8, 11:55PM with a late registration fee.
The examination is scheduled to be held on January 21, 2024, 9AM to 12 Noon.
Eligibility
Indian candidates and including foreign nationals, are required to meet the following criteria:
- Age Limit: Candidates in the OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL category should have been born on or after October 1, 1999, while those in the SC, ST, or PwD category should have been born on or after October 1, 1994.
- Number of Attempts: Each candidate can attempt UCEED a maximum of two times, consecutively. The UCEED score is valid for only one year and is applicable for admissions in the corresponding academic year.
- Qualifying Examination: Candidates must have either passed all subjects in their qualifying examination (Class XII or equivalent) in 2023 or be appearing for the qualifying examination for the first time in 2024 to be eligible for attempting UCEED 2024. Students from all streams (Science, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible. However, those who appeared for the first time in their Class XII qualifying examination in 2022 or earlier are not eligible for UCEED 2024.
Qualifying examinations include various options such as the final examination of the 10+2 system by a recognized Central or State Board, intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination from a recognized Board or University, and more.
Candidates who completed their Class XII examination outside India or from a non-specified Board must provide a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities confirming equivalence to the Class XII examination. Additionally, candidates with a three-year Diploma recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) may be eligible, although the criteria of participating Institutes may vary regarding Diploma duration.
Registration fee
According to the notification, the fee structure to apply for the exam is as follows:
Candidates who register after the regular closing date of October 31, 2023, and up to the late registration closing date of November 8, 2023, will be subject to a late fee of Rs.500 for Indian Nationals and USD 50 for Foreign Nationals.
Examination pattern
The UCEED 2024 examination consists of a single question-paper with a total duration of three hours. The medium of the question paper is English, and it carries a maximum of 300 marks. This paper is divided into two parts, namely Part-A and Part-B, and it’s mandatory for candidates to attempt questions from both sections.

Step 1: To register visit the official UCEED website.
Step 2: Click on the “Registration” link.
Step 3: Enter your email address and create a password.
Step 4: Check your email inbox for a message containing an activation link.
Step 5: Click on the activation link to verify your email and activate your UCEED account.
Step 6: Complete the registration process by following the provided instructions.
Step 7: Log in to your UCEED account using the credentials you created during registration to access the UCEED application form.
Step 8: Provide your personal details and other information as required.
Step 9: Include your contact information, ensuring it is accurate and up to date.
Step 10: Review the filled-out application form and submit the application form.
