Noida: The ruckus in Hyde Park, Sector-78, is neverending. On January 13, 2025, the anger of the residents against the AOA was once again seen in the society. Around 350-400 residents gathered outside the AOA office and protested fiercely. This is the second consecutive protest; before this, on January 5, the residents also raised slogans against the AOA officials.
Residents’ allegation
The residents allege that despite the order of the Deputy Registrar and the notice of the Electricity Department, the AOA has increased the maintenance fee by about 50 per cent. Also, CAM is being deducted illegally from the electricity account. In this case, the residents have also complained to the police by running a signature campaign.
Warning by residents
The residents demanded that fresh elections be held and that the increased maintenance fee be withdrawn. Residents have warned that if the increased maintenance charges are not withdrawn in the next 48 hours, the agitation may turn more violent. This fight against the arbitrariness of the AOA officials will continue.
