When a vehicle begins to show its age, the first instinct of most owners is to either sell it or swap it for a new one. But not everyone thinks that way. For a lot of car lovers, an old set of wheels isn’t just a machine: it’s part of the family. Further, restoring it can work out better than spending big money on a new ride.

A recent video circulating online highlights exactly this. It features a Tata Safari Storme whose owner opted to revive and restomod his trusted SUV instead of letting it go.

What’s In The Video?

A user by the name of Sharaath V posted a reel on Instagram showcasing a heavily restomodded Tata Safari Storme that has been given a dramatic makeover.

The video highlights the SUV’s fresh look, now fitted with a custom aftermarket body kit created by Motormind Designs. Based in Bengaluru, Motormind Designs has built a reputation for producing high-quality body kits and styling components for a wide range of popular vehicles.

“Given the sentimental value attached to this vehicle, I decided to refurbish it to its former glory rather than replace it with a new one. The decision wasn’t just about preserving the car’s condition but also about holding onto the memories that we’ve created together,” Sharaath wrote on Instagram.

Tata Safari Storme: Features

The Tata Safari Storme now carries a completely redesigned front end. The SUV sports a fresh face with a modern-looking grille that adds both a premium and futuristic touch. Interestingly, the usual centrally placed Tata badge has been swapped out for Motormind’s own logo, positioned off-centre for a distinctive flair. The package also includes an all-new bumper that enhances the SUV’s bold and individual character.

The redesigned front bumper has been painted white and is complemented by sleek integrated LED daytime running lamps. At the centre, a gunmetal grey insert adds contrast and gives the SUV a sportier vibe. The bonnet has also been reworked, and it now carries fake vents and a pronounced central bulge. It lends the Safari Storme a beefier, more muscular presence on the road.

A fresh set of sporty aftermarket alloys gives it a tougher stance. Adding to the rugged character is a grey-finished roof panel, neatly fitted with four amber lamps at the front.

At the back, the SUV continues with its stock bumper, but the diffuser has been replaced with a bolder, more aggressive design.
