Mahindra Thar Roxx
The list has been topped by the latest offering from the Mahindra’s lineup, Thar Roxx or five-door Thar. The off-roader has received a 5-star safety rating in a car crash test, performed by Bharat NCAP. It is the first body-on-frame model, which has achieved such an impressive rating.
It comes at the starting price of Rs 12.99 lakh, while the top model goes up to Rs 23.09 lakh (Avg. ex-showroom). It is available in both petrol and diesel engine options. The former features 2184 cc, while the latter gets 1997 cc. These units are available with Manual & Automatic transmission.
Tata Harrier
The Tata Harrier has secured a spot in the list as well for multiple obvious reasons. It comes with a 5-star safety rating in the car crash test, given by both Global NCAP and Bharat NCAP.
Apart from this, the giant SUV has also won the Global NCAP Safer Choice Award, which somehow puts an extra feather to its cap. The well-built SUV can be purchased under the price bracket between Rs 15 lakh to Ra 26.25 lakh.
It has been offered in more than 24 variants, allowing customers to have wider options to choose from.
Volkswagen Virtus
The Volkswagen Virtus is undoubtedly considered one of the most reliable and tech-loaded products in the company’s entire range. The model not only comes with a 5-star Global NCAP safety rating but also gets a large list of safety features such as six airbags as standard, 3-point seat belts for all passengers, speed alert, speed warning, electronic stability control, parking sensors, rearview camera with dynamic guidelines and whatnot.
The model can be purchased with a price tag of Rs 13.68 lakh for the base trim, while the top-end variant goes up to Rs 22.95 lakh (all ex-showroom).
