Haryana Janmashtami Holiday 2023: Haryana Government on Tuesday announced a gazetted holiday for Janmashtami on September 07. As per an earlier notification, the Janmashtami holiday was designated for September 06. Schools, colleges, and other educational institutes in the state will remain closed on September 07, 2023, on the occasion of Janmashtami.
The Chief Secretary to the Haryana Government, Sanjeev Kaushal today released a notification declaring the Janmashtami holiday on September 07. “It is hereby notified that Thursday, the 07 September 2023 shall be observed as a Gazetted holiday on the Departments/ Boards/ Corporations, Educational, and other institutions under the Haryana Government on account of the festival ‘Janmashtami’ instead of Wednesday, the 06 September 2023,” reads the official notification.

This year, Janmashtami is being celebrated on either September 06 or September 07. Various states have already declared holidays on the occasion of Janmashtami.
In another development, the Haryana Board of Secondary Education on September 05 declared the HBSE Class 10 Compartment Result 2023. Over 3700 students appeared in the compartment examination, out of which nearly 16,000 students cleared the exam.
