A short video about a new rail project has captured widespread attention online. It highlights a high-speed train route that could significantly cut travel time between Gurugram and Noida. For daily commuters and regular travellers, the proposal sounds promising. However, it has also sparked questions about the cost, planning, and timeline for completing such projects.
As the video continues to circulate, reactions remain mixed, with comments expressing both hope and skepticism.
Video Explains A Faster Gurugram-Noida Route
In the video, the narrator explains a proposed Gurugram-Noida RRTS, or Regional Rapid Transit System. According to him, this new rail line could allow people to travel from Gurugram to Noida in just thirty-eight minutes. The project is said to be similar to the Delhi-Meerut RRTS.
The route will start from IFFCO Chowk in Gurugram and go up to Sector 54. From there, the next stop will be Bata Chowk in Faridabad. After entering Faridabad, the line will pass through the Sector 85-86 crossing and then move towards Sector 142-168 in Noida. The final station on this route will be Surajpur.
The narrator adds that this high-speed rail corridor will be around sixty kilometres long and is expected to cost fifteen thousand crore rupees. The video also explains that this project will be connected to another major rail plan that begins at Sarai Kale Khan, which is the main station of the Delhi-Meerut RRTS.
How The Project Will Link To Other Routes
From Sarai Kale Khan, the second corridor will pass through Gurugram and Manesar and reach Bawal. This stretch will be around ninety-three kilometres long. The Gurugram-Noida RRTS will connect to this route at IFFCO Chowk, making travel between multiple cities easier.
The narrator further says that the government is checking whether another route can be built from Sarai Kale Khan to Jewar Airport or from Ghaziabad to Jewar Airport. This route may also be linked to the Gurugram-Noida RRTS at Surajpur.
