Greater Noida : Residents of Sector Beta-1 and several other parts of the city have raised serious concerns over the deteriorating condition of parks and green belts. Despite continuous complaints, the maintenance work by the Greater Noida Authority’s Garden Department has allegedly remained ineffective.
Harendra Bhati, General Secretary of Sector Beta 1, claims that Senior Manager Rakesh Babu and Manager Buddh Vilas from the Garden Department are failing to ensure the proper upkeep of the parks and green belts. The once-vibrant green corridors are now in poor shape, with dry grass, missing flower beds and a lack of routine cleaning becoming a common sight.
Crores of rupees are spent every year on the beautification and maintenance of parks, green belts and central verges. However, the current condition raises questions about negligence and lack of accountability within the department.

People also highlight that the central verges of the city used to be decorated with seasonal flowers from November to February. This practice has reportedly stopped in recent years, and the existing beautification is now deteriorating instead of improving.
Citizens have urged CEO NG Ravi Kumar, ACEO Lakshmi VS and ACEO Sumit Yadav to take immediate cognisance of the matter. They question why officials continue to show such negligence despite repeated complaints and a visible decline in the city’s greenery.
Residents are now expecting swift action to restore the beauty of Greater Noida’s parks and green belts.
