Supertech Eco Village 1: IRP gives relief to residents, reduces increasing load charges

Greater Noida West: In Supertech Eco village 1, IRP has reduced the charge for increasing the load in the society. IRP has currently reduced the charge for 15 days. Residents are quite happy.

An exemption only for 15 days

IRP has given much-awaited relief to the residents of Supertech Ecovillage-1 Society, but the relief is not for long. IRP has ordered the maintenance company YG Estates in Ecovillage-1 to charge Rs 10,000 plus GST for increasing the electricity load. But IRP has given this exemption only for 15 days.

Result of 40 days of agitation

Society residents say that after the 40-day continuous agitation last year, a meeting was held in Greno Authority under the chairmanship of ACEO Saumya Srivastava, in which Supertech management, society residents and local MLA Tejpal Nagar were also present. In that meeting, it was decided that the charge for increasing the electricity load in the society would be reduced from Rs 25,000 plus GST to Rs 10,000 plus GST, to which all parties agreed. It was also agreed in the meeting that the load increase charge will remain Rs 10,000 plus GST until the society gets a multi-point connection from NPCL.

IRP sent a mail to inform about the reduced load charges

After the meeting with the authority, Supertech management and maintenance agency charged Rs 10,000 plus GST for load increase for about three months, but then it was reduced to Rs 25,000 plus GST. Residents were continuously protesting against the increased charge. Residents also informed the IRP about this, after which the IRP told the residents not to pay the charge for the load increase last week. On Wednesday morning, the IRP informed Ecovillage-1 residents about the reduced charge through email.

Residents don’t want deadline of 15 days

There is a wave of happiness among the residents due to the reduction in the load increase charge, but there is anger also among the residents due to the 15-day deadline. Residents associated with the movement say that the Supertech management and maintenance agency is refusing to fully accept the decisions of the meeting held in the Greno Authority. The load charge should remain low until the society gets a multi-point connection from NPCL. Residents associated with the agitation say that the IRP has been informed about this if the 15-day deadline is not removed, then they will be forced to start agitation again.

Load inreased to earn money

Residents also say that the Supertech management and maintenance agency is increasing the load of the residents to earn money, but the electricity infrastructure of the society is not suitable to bear the load distributed among the residents. People say that society management should fix the infrastructure before increasing the load. Electricity keeps playing hide and seek throughout the day and specially at night which is unbearable.
