Greater Noida West: The residents of Greater Noida West, enjoyed the Navratri and Durga Pooja and are now feeling mesmerized after the visarjan of Durga Ma.
Grand celebrations in Sector 3
After the month-long preparations, the active residents team, celebrated the grand celebration of Navratri and Durga pooja. This was the 2nd year of the Navratri pooja. Shiv Mandir A block also organised Jagran and all enjoyed the divine songs.
On October 21, 2023, Saptmi, the idol of Goddess Durga was brought into Sector 3 with all the dhol and dhamaks. The women of this sector were adorned in yellow colour sarees. They took a kalash on their forehead and Goddess Durga was welcomed with folk songs and dances. After the placing of the idol, Goddess Durga’s rituals were done to evoke the powers. This was done on the Navpatrika Poojan day. The women and their daughters adorned ma with mehendi, saree, jewellery, fresh flowers etc.
On 22nd October, Ashtmi, a grand Jagran took place. MLA Tejpal Nagar and MP Mahesh Sharma came to seek the blessings of Durga Ma where the residents raised few concerns too. Both promised that they would work for the betterment of the sector and would make it more beautiful and developed.
On the 23rd, Navmi, the residents of this sector, did the kanya pooja, where the small girl’s feet were washed, and they were given love and aloo halwa poori was enjoyed by one and all.

On the occasion of Vijay Dashmi, Shastra Poojan was performed, as it was also Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Foundation Day, the volunteers of Mangal Pande nagar organized a road rally program.
In which many dignitaries took active participation and carried out street march in Sector 3 in which songs of patriotism and social equality were sung. Later the Idol of Goddess Durga was taken with the dhol and dhamakas with equal valour and joy
Joint efforts made the event a grand success
Working force behind the event were the active residents of the sector 3 who are working diligently for the betterment of the sector 3. This team is always one step ahead in solving the civic issues and maintainig the harmony and peace in the Sector. Among them are Vivek Chahuhan, Inder Bhati, Shashi Shekhar, Azad Singh, Dilip Kumar, Prakash Chaudhary, Deo Raj Tiwari, Naresh Kasana, , Naveen Kumar, Pawan Sharma, Deepak Bansal and Vikas Singh.
