Greater Noida West: Despite being home to over a million working professionals and rapidly growing into one of NCR’s largest residential hubs, Greater Noida West continues to remain deprived of basic public transport facilities. The absence of metro connectivity and city bus services has left residents battling daily traffic congestion, wasting several hours of their lives on the road.
Residents point out that while the region has seen massive urban settlement, with lakhs of families already settled and many more expected in the coming years, public transport remains missing from the government’s priority list.
Frustration among locals is mounting. They question why authorities are pushing for metro expansion in sparsely populated areas like Bodaki, while ignoring Greater Noida West, where metro services are critically needed for over 10–12 lakh people.
Every day, we waste precious hours stuck in traffic jams. It is beyond our understanding why the administration is choosing to run the metro in deserted areas, while completely neglecting a region with one of the highest demands.

Citizens have appealed to regional representatives and higher officials to take immediate cognizance of the issue and prioritize metro and city bus connectivity in Greater Noida West. They argue that without timely intervention, the region’s infrastructure crisis will worsen as its population continues to multiply.
