Greater Noida West : A shocking incident has sparked heated debate among residents after a man from ATS Homekraft claimed he was humiliated and threatened by a Noida traffic policeman near Kalindi Kunj.
According to the complainant, Partish, the altercation occurred while he was returning home after a long day of important work. He alleges that the traffic policeman, identified as Sanjeev, stopped him along with three other traffic personnel, used abusive language, and even threatened to “beat him with a danda” and lock him behind bars.
I was driving in the correct direction. I requested that the authorities check the camera footage. Are these Police Officers or goons? Are the protectors of the public or predators ?

Voices in Support of the Victim
Several residents condemned the alleged behavior, calling for immediate investigation and action.
The use of abusive language by a traffic policeman on duty is shameful. Strict action must be taken.

Traffic police should act with tolerance. If rules are broken, issue a challan — no need for aggression.

Voices Defending the Policeman
However, not everyone agreed with the allegations. Some residents suggested that the driver might have been in violation of traffic rules.
I watched the full video twice — no abusive language was used. He was probably driving on the wrong side.
Neeraj Kumar
Traffic police stand for our safety, even in the rain. If you were stopped, perhaps you were in the wrong.
Subhash Bhati
If he was indeed going the wrong way in arrogance, a case should be filed for obstructing a government employee on duty.

A Larger Issue: Public–Police Relations
The incident highlights a growing tension between citizens and traffic police in Noida. While residents demand politeness and accountability from officers, police supporters stress that rule-breaking motorists often create unnecessary conflict.
Whether Partish’s case reflects misuse of authority or public resentment against lawful enforcement, one thing is clear, this is not an isolated incident. Calls for CCTV verification, body-worn cameras and better training for traffic personnel are growing louder.
Comment from Traffic Police Officer
"Kalindi Kunj experiences some of the heaviest traffic in the area. As per CCTV footage, no such incident was observed, and there should be proper evidence before making any claims. It was a full-dress rehearsal, and the staff took their positions at 5 AM. Heavy traffic was present throughout the day, and the same staff remained on duty till evening. There might have been some misunderstanding, but nothing unusual happened. The heavy volume of traffic is particularly due to the right turn and the excessive wrong-side traffic. Residents should also consider the condition of traffic personnel, who stand on duty from morning till night, whether it is raining or scorching hot. They are always on their toes, managing the situation."
