Panchsheel Hynish: Bisrakh Police is doing Live streaming of society whatsapp group, Restrictions imposed to maintain the decorum

Greater Noida West: Bisrakh Kotwali Police has sent a notice to the residents of Panchsheel Hynish Society located in Sector-1. The admins and members of the society’s WhatsApp groups have been warned to stop the trolling and threatening messages that are posted every day. After the notice, some peace is being maintained in the society’s WhatsApp groups.

Restraint is to be exercised while posting anything in the group

Rohit Arya, Bisrakh Kotwali’s Rise Police Outpost in-charge has sent a notice and instructed the society residents to exercise restraint while sending messages in the WhatsApp group. The outpost in charge has written in the notice, “All concerned are informed that some residents are exchanging hateful, bitter, and messages related to tarnishing the social image of all the WhatsApp groups operating in Panchsheel Hynish Society. Due to this the atmosphere of the society is becoming hateful, bitterness is increasing among the residents and social harmony is deteriorating.”

Residents shared screenshots of misbehaving and abusive languages

Many complaints have been received in this regard with screenshots. Therefore, the AOA and all the concerned and the admins of all WhatsApp groups are informed not to send and allow any such unnecessary message which may tarnish the image of any resident, hurt reputation, defame character, increase mutual bitterness, trolling and increase animosity among themselves. Otherwise, on receiving the complaint, taking cognizance, legal action will be taken against the concerned and all the admins of the group under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Information Technology Act, which has provisions for imprisonment, fine and both. Also, punitive and legal action will be taken against the guilty as per the rules against the concerned culprit and all the admins of that group.

What is the matter?

Vivek Kumar, a resident of Tower-8 of the society, had filed a complaint of assault against the husband of the AOA President, AOA Vice President, Coordination Committee member and others in Bisrakh police station on June 23rd. In the complaint, Vivek Kumar has written that there has been no water supply in his tower for the last three days, whereas water is being supplied from time to time in other towers of the society. To know the reason, he went to the pump room at 9:30 pm. About 20-25 people already present there started abusing Vivek, started pushing and beating him. They threw him on the ground and started kicking and punching him and said that it was their AOA, they would supply water to whoever they wanted and who was he to interfere. Vivek further wrote that some good people of the society saved him. In the complaint, Vivek has also accused the AOA president of character assassination in the WhatsApp group earlier.

Strict instructions to the AOA and other residents to maintain peace in society

On the complaint received against the AOA and other members, Arvind Kumar, Bisrakh police station in-charge called a meeting in which the complainant, all the members of the AOA and all the accused were made to sit and explain and mutual reconciliation was done. Along with this, Bisrakh police station in-charge gave strict instructions to the AOA and other residents to maintain peace in the society. In this sequence, the police station in-charge issued instructions that if any kind of message is circulated in any WhatsApp group of society which spoils the atmosphere of the society, strict action will be taken against the sender of the message as well as the admin of the group under relevant sections.

Arvind Kumar, Bisrakh police station in-charge says, “A complaint of attack was received from Panchsheel Hynish Society, the main reason for which was trolling and threatening messages in the society WhatsApp groups. All the parties have been made to sit together and explain. Notice has been given to the society, if any complaint comes again, strict action will be taken.

This notice is for every society, to maintain the civic sense

When the Bisrakh police station in-charge was asked whether the notice has been given only to Panchsheel Hainish or has been sent to other societies of Greno West as well, he said that the objective of the police is that all the residents in the society live together and peace and order is maintained. WhatsApp groups should be used for the exchange of important information about society and not for character assassination or trolling of anyone. Right now only Panchsheel Hainish Society has been given notice. If similar complaints are received from other societies, a notice will be issued to all concerned.
