Greater Noida West: Bisrakh police arrested the manager of the maintenance agency hired by Havelia Valencia Society AOA and locked him in lockup. Residents protested police action at the police station. Bisrakh police released the manager after residents protested.
Residents of Havelia Valencia Society say, “AOA kept its agency in the society by removing the builder’s maintenance agency. But today Bisrakh police picked up the maintenance manager from the society and locked him in the police station.”
Residents say, “Since the formation of AOA, residents have been depositing maintenance money in AOA’s account. The process of handover was going on for a long time, which was finalized last week and a new agency took over the charge. Residents alleged that police took action under pressure from the builder and wanted to bring back the builder’s old agency.”
Vinay Singh, the AOA president of the society, says, “The AOA has hired a new agency for society maintenance, whose manager was taken away by Bisrakh police today. When asked the reason, it was told that the builder had complained that the handover was done forcefully and the builder had filed a complaint under several serious sections.“
The AOA president says, “As soon as Bisrakh police took away the manager, people of Havelian builder reached the gate and started saying that Bisrakh SHO had sent them. The residents did not let the builder’s people enter.”
A large number of residents including women from the society gheraoed Bisrakh police station against the police action. The residents questioned the police.
Seeing the protests of the residents increasing, Bisrakh police released the maintenance manager and said that meet the District Magistrate as soon as possible and conduct the elections in the society fairly.
