Greater Noida West: A case of laptop theft has come to light from Gaur City Center in the Bisrakh Kotwali area. The thief has been captured in the CCTV camera installed in the mall.
Vipin Sharma has had an office in FF 115 on the first floor of Gaur City Center Mall for the last one and a half years. Like every day, Vipin came to the office today too and this day proved a bad day for him.
Vipin’s laptop was on the desk and he went to use the washroom. When he came back the laptop was missing from the table. Vipin looked outside but could not see anyone. When Vipin asked his partner on the second floor, he refused. As soon as he understood the whole matter, Vipin complained about laptop theft to the mall management. He complained about the theft to the mall management and demanded for the CCTV footage. In the CCTV footage, a thief is seen running away from his office with a laptop.
Vipin says, “Maintenance, management and security of the mall is with Gaursons Builder. When I asked the maintenance agency to provide the CCTV footage to me, they denied saying that they would either give the footage to the police or file an FIR first only then the footage would be available. Vipin had immediately called 112 to complain about laptop theft from the office.
A written complaint has also been given at Gaur City police post. Residents say that the incidents of theft and snatching have increased significantly in the last several months in the Bisrakh Kotwali area, but the Police is not taking any action.
