Greater Noida West: Bisrakh police, in an encounter arrested a notorious criminal who carried out incidents of robbery and snatching in the area. The criminal was shot in the leg. Apache motorcycle, one weapon and two gold chains were recovered from his possession. The injured criminal was admitted to the hospital for treatment.
Arvind Kumar, Bisrakh Kotwali in-charge says, “During the checking campaign near Rise police post, two suspects were seen on an Apache bike. On being signalled to stop, they started running towards Jalpura Pushta. When the police chased them due to the bad road, the motorcycle slipped and fell. Both the miscreants started firing while running towards the empty land. In the retaliatory firing by the police, one miscreant was shot in the leg. The other miscreant took advantage of the darkness and fled.”
The arrested miscreant was identified as Suraj Sharma, a resident of Janakpuri in the Sahibabad police station area of Ghaziabad. A pistol, an Apache motorcycle and two gold chains were recovered from the miscreant. During interrogation, the injured miscreant said that his absconding partner was Rahul Bhati, a resident of Shalimar Garden. Dozens of cases are registered against the arrested miscreant in various police stations.
