Greater Noida West: In today’s fast-paced life, where technology is establishing its dominance in every field, Amarpushp Educational and Welfare Society took a unique initiative and made children aware of the traditional method of water purification. In this program, the art of cleaning the water using traditional clay pots was taught. It was organised by the Hitachi Lift India Private Limited and India Is Us.
Children learnt the benefits of clean water in the program
Around 70 children participated enthusiastically in the program, where they were given guidance on the process of water purification using various stones, clay charcoal, copper utensils and three clay pots.
Children tried their hands on this unique experience
Some children also got the experience of cleaning water with their own hands by using this method themselves. The chief guest of the program, Mr. Masaya Sakakibara, who is the Managing Director of Hitachi Lift India, highlighted the importance of clean water to the children and advised its regular use. Other dignitaries present included Mr. H. N. Purohit, Mr. Neeraj Vashisht and Mr. Pranav Menon who discussed with the students of Shiksha Pratham about their future and career options.
Children recited poems and shared their areas of interest
The event was graced by some talented children reciting poems. When the guests asked the children about their dreams, they expressed their ambition to go into respectable professions like doctors, engineers and teachers. Geetanjali Kushwaha, Director of Amarapushp, apprised the guests of the academic progress of the children. Many people including Ashish Kushwaha, Aditya, Vibha, Vanita, Kanchan, Sandeep, Prachi and Soniparia played an important role in the success of the event.
