Aastha Greens: Builder adopted Divide and Rule policy, residents responded with Unity in Protest

Greater Noida West: Residents of Aastha Greens Society located in Greater Noida West, Sector-4 protested on Sunday, May 19, 2024 against the builder’s divisive policies and lack of basic amenities. Residents surrounded the builder on the issues of pending OC-CC, registry and maintenance of the society.

‘Builder met only tower 2 residents’

Accusing the builder of adopting a divide-and-rule strategy, the residents say, “After the protest last Sunday, the builder held a meeting with the residents of Tower-2 only, while residents of all the towers had participated in the protest. Even in the meeting with the residents of Tower-2, builder Deepak Jain gave the wrong information to the residents regarding OC-CC.”

‘Not a single demand has been fulfilled’

Residents allege that Last year also, after a meeting with the builder Deepak Jain, the residents were assured and the meeting ended on a positive note. However, soon the residents realized that the meeting and the sweet talk of the builder was only a plan to deceive the residents. After that meeting, to date, the builder has not fulfilled a single demand.

No Occupation Certificate / Completion Certificate ever received

Residents say, ” It has been a long time since they got possession of the flat but they have not received OC-CC yet, due to which the registry of the flats is stuck. The builder gives new deadlines every month and tells new stories. Apart from registry, there are many maintenance-related problems in the society which are not being resolved.

No guest parking in the society

The builder wants to convert the green area in the society into guest parking, which the residents are opposing. Residents say that no compromise with the green belt is acceptable, if the builder wants, he can build guest parking in the basement.

Fee for DG backup in the society is Rs 29 per unit which is much higher than all the neighbouring societies.

Basic facilities need maintenance work

The society lacks most of the basic facilities like maintenance work, clubhouse, gym, indoor games, swimming pool party hall and children’s play area. The builder always makes an excuse for not having money but does not give account of the maintenance fee collected. There is no intercom in the lift of the society, the condition of the cricket pitch and badminton court and net is very bad.
There is problem of leakage and seepage in the entire society due to which the building is likely to weaken. Society residents have asked the builder to resolve all these issues immediately else residents will be bound to protest on a bigger scale.
