No one is hearing our outcry. “
Streets are turned into dump yards
In Shahberi, there is so much dirt and garbage lying all the time on the roads. The passerby has to put a handkerchief to stop the dirt smell from entering the nostrils.
Ashish Tripathi, who works in an IT company says, “We live in NCR and is this what NCR supposed to be? Garbage scattered all over, garbage giving a deathblow smell. It is a smart city? For this, we came out from our places to live in and spent crores of rupees to live in this vicinity?”
The sewer is always overflowing and it rains, the problem is out of control
Residents allege that every day they have to cross the severe overflow. All the dirt and filthy garbage comes out of the drains and spreads on the road which is not only smelly but also unhygienic. It touches them and makes them dirty. Many have fallen due to the swamp. Residents are requesting the authorities to take them out of this problem.
Pramod Singh, A Senior Government Officer says, ” We purchased a villa here with a thought to live a peaceful life. But what kind of life is this? Sever all time overflow, if we think to go on walking distance, we cannot even execute as the roads are full of swamp anyone can fall anytime.”
