Greater Noida : Senior Citizen Society, Greater Noida has received the orders by the high court, despite the AOA elections, the results have been stayed. A person living in the society had filed an objection. On which the hearing was held and the result of the AOA election was stayed.
Objection filed against AOA election
Sanjay Singh, a resident, Senior Citizen Society, has filed an objection in the High Court. Sanjay Singh told the High Court in his petition that this petition has been filed challenging the order passed by the Deputy Registrar (Ghaziabad) on 24 June 2024. After this, he amended the prayer and also challenged the orders dated 16 July 2024 and 18 July 2024. Sanjay Singh has also challenged the election schedule.
Court sought response
This petition was presented in the court of Justice SQH Rizvi of the High Court. On July 26, 2024, the court debated the matter and after hearing the lawyers of the parties, the court gave time to file a counter affidavit. Also, the declaration of the result of the election program to be held on July 28, 2024, was stayed.
Stay on the result of the AOA election
The order passed by the court has not been loaded yet. Therefore, an affidavit has been requested to file before the Election Officer, who has been included as respondent number 3 in the petition. In the affidavit, he has been informed that the election can be held, but the result cannot be declared. This was passed by the High Court on July 26, 2024.
