Greater Noida: In a major cleanliness drive, the Health Department of Greater Noida has launched a crackdown on the careless dumping of unprocessed and unsegregated waste. During surprise inspections carried out over the weekend, officials discovered that many residential societies and commercial establishments were openly dumping both wet and dry waste without proper segregation.

The violations weren’t taken lightly
On-the-spot fines were issued, and several parties were served formal notices. Authorities made it clear: if waste management norms aren’t followed, stricter action will follow, including the suspension of garbage collection services for repeat offenders.
This action comes after months of growing concerns over waste piling up on roadsides and near housing clusters. The department stated that it is now fully committed to enforcing solid waste management rules and will continue conducting surprise checks in the coming weeks.
Societies and businesses have been advised to ensure proper waste segregation and disposal, or risk facing legal action.
“No more tolerance for trash”
No more tolerance for trash seems to be the new motto in Greater Noida. The move is being seen as a step towards making the city cleaner, healthier, and more livable, one inspection at a time.
