Greater Noida: Greater Noida Authority has issued tenders for 76 new unipoles. For the first time, QR codes will also be installed on these unipoles. Unipoles will be allotted for seven years. With this, Greater Noida Authority is estimated to get a revenue of about Rs 97 crore in seven years.
Instructions given by the CEO of Greno Authority
NG Ravi Kumar, CEO of Greater Noida Authority has given instructions to remove illegal unipoles installed in the city and to tender new unipoles and allocate them afresh. Acting on the instructions of the CEO, the Urban Services Department of the Authority has issued tenders for the location of new unipoles. Unipoles have been tendered after five years.
The highest bidder will be allotted the unipole
Annapurna Garg, ACEO says, “The locations of 76 new unipoles have been identified. Tenders have been issued for these. These unipoles will be allotted to the person who bids the highest price. The details of the tender of unipoles and the location of unipoles have also been uploaded on the website of Greater Noida Authority. Applications have been sought from companies for these 76 unipoles based on location. After allotment of all these unipoles, the authority is expected to earn about Rs 97 crore in seven years.”
The size and design of the unipoles will be according to the standards of the authority
The selected companies will be able to put advertisements on these unipoles for seven years. The authority has made efforts to make the design of the unipoles more attractive. However, the size and design of the unipoles will be according to the standards of the authority. These unipoles will be of the same colour. Designer frames will be installed. The location of each unipole will be recorded through a QR code so that no kind of tampering will occur. The tender process for unipoles will be completed in the month of August.
