Greater Noida: Illegal occupiers pelted stones at the Noida Authority’s team which went to remove illegal encroachment on acquired land in Itaida village, in which the authority’s security personnel were injured. An FIR has been registered against the illegal occupiers by the authority.
Illegal shops were about to be constructed
of the village’s Khasra number 435 (about 1.68 hectares) by building illegal shops.
Notice was sent, but nothing happened
A notice was already issued by the Greater Noida Authority to remove the illegal encroachment, but it did not affect the occupiers. On June 12, 2024, The team of Work Circle 3 of Greater Noida Authority reached the spot with its security personnel and police to break the illegal encroachment. As soon as the action started, the illegal occupiers reached the spot with some people and attacked the authority’s team opposing the action.
The stones were pelted on the Greater Noida Authority’s officials
They started pelting stones at the team. The authority’s security personnel also got injured in this attack. During this, an illegal occupier also got injured. Greater Noida Authority’s OSD Himanshu Verma said that an FIR of this incident has been registered in Bisrakh police station by the authority. Authority’s ACEO Annapurna Garg has said that in Greater Noida, no person is allowed to do illegal construction on notified or occupied land without the permission of the authority. If anyone tries to occupy the land by doing illegal construction, action will be taken against him.
