Greater Noida: In an effort to enhance civic infrastructure and improve the quality of life in residential sectors, Greater Noida Authority has intensified its field inspections following directions from CEO N.G. To implement the initiative, Additional CEO Shrilakshmi VS has constituted dedicated teams comprising officials from the Project, Health, Horticulture, Electrical Engineering and Water & Sewer departments for Greater Noida East and West. These teams are conducting regular inspections across the city.
Authority Team Inspects Sector 2
On Friday, a team led by Principal General Manager Sandeep Chandra, along with Senior Managers Rajesh Gautam, Prabhat Shankar, Vinod Sharma, Manager Swatantra Gupta and other officials, visited Sector 2 to assess civic conditions and interact with residents.
Representatives of Blocks A and B highlighted several long-pending civic issues and requested prompt intervention from the Authority.
Residents Raise Concerns Over Encroachments and Maintenance
Residents informed officials that roadside vendors frequently occupy the main gate and principal roads, causing congestion and inconvenience. They also demanded better maintenance of parks and green belts, regular cleaning of drains and improved sanitation services.
Other issues raised included strengthening the door-to-door waste collection system, repairing roads affected by waterlogging during the monsoon, replacing damaged electricity poles and restoring non-functional streetlights.
High-Mast Lights and Infrastructure Repairs Planned
Taking note of the complaints, Principal General Manager Sandeep Chandra directed the concerned departments to expedite the replacement of dilapidated electricity poles and ensure the installation of high-mast lights in parks. He also instructed officials to resolve all civic issues raised by residents at the earliest.
The sector inspection drive is part of the Greater Noida Authority’s broader initiative to improve urban infrastructure, strengthen public services and ensure cleaner, safer and better-maintained residential neighbourhoods.
