Greater Noida: Eldeco Mystic Greens Society came alive with energy, patriotism and sporting spirit as residents celebrated Independence Day along with the grand finale of the much-awaited sports extravaganza Khelo IMG. The event, which began on August 4 and continued till August 14, witnessed enthusiastic participation from nearly 250 residents. Over 350 matches were played across 16 different games, including Lawn Tennis, Table Tennis, Badminton (Singles, Doubles & Mixed), Cricket (Men & Women), Volleyball, Chess, Carrom, and Swimming.

A celebration of talent and sportsmanship
In recognition of outstanding performances, 100 winners received gold medals, while another 100 participants were awarded silver medals. The celebration didn’t stop at sports. 22 children who excelled in academics, Olympiads, music, dance and other fields were felicitated with ‘Special Achievers Awards’ for their remarkable accomplishments.
A patriotic and colourful beginning
The day began with a march past, followed by the flag hoisting ceremony, filling the air with patriotic fervour. Children showcased cultural programs infused with love for the nation, making the atmosphere vibrant and emotionally charged.
Community spirit at its best
The entire event reflected the spirit of community and volunteerism. Many residents, alongside AOA members, contributed as volunteers to ensure smooth coordination. Resident Amit Ranjan extended heartfelt thanks to the AOA team for organising such a grand event and urged them to continue hosting similar celebrations in the future.

The historic celebration was led by Vice President Anil Mishra along with a dedicated team including Rakesh Thakur, Santosh Das, Abhilasha Chandukka, Deepak Agarwal, Kamia, Anil Jha, Manisha Arora, Amit Sharma, Shashank, and Mani Singh. Their efforts ensured that the entire society – from children to elders – enjoyed the day to the fullest.
