A recent post online captured this strange trend perfectly. A man compared the price of a cab ride in NCR with the price of a flight ticket and showed how the cab cost was higher. His simple comparison left many people stunned and talking about how unusual these fares have become.
Man Shares Jaw-Dropping Price Comparison
The man shared two images on X (formerly Twitter) and pointed out the surprising difference in travel costs. His post read, “Delhi to Leh Rs 1,540. Gurugram to Greater Noida Rs 1,952. Today, flying from Delhi to Ladakh is cheaper than taking a cab from Gurgaon to Greater Noida.”
The first image shows a flight listing from Delhi to Leh. The image displays a fare of Rs 1,540 for a SpiceJet flight that takes 1 hour 30 minutes. It appears like a normal ticket listing with time, duration and price.
The second image shows the estimated fare for a cab ride from the Hyatt Regency, Gurugram, to Bennett University. The cab option displayed is a Go Sedan with a fare of Rs 1,952.61. It also shows that the cab would arrive in three minutes. The contrast between the two prices is clear and surprising.

A commuter shared, “Kal hi Noida se Gurugram ayi hu. Metro ke baad Gurugram to Gurugram cab ne 500 lia hai.”
Someone questioned the comparison, saying, “You’re comparing kind of public transport with a personal cab? Compare it with the metro.”
