Tesla has expanded its presence in India, having recently inaugurated its second showroom in Delhi following the opening of its first in Mumbai.
The heavy import duty in India has significantly increased the price of the Tesla Model Y, with its ex-showroom price in Mumbai exceeding Rs 61 lakh.
The on-road price of the Model Y is similar in Delhi and Mumbai, but it is considerably more expensive in Gurugram due to higher road tax and registration fees in Haryana.
The starting price of the Model Y RWD in Delhi and Mumbai is approximately Rs 61 lakh, whereas in Gurugram, it starts at Rs 66.7 lakh. The price difference between Gurugram and Delhi or Mumbai can be up to Rs 5.7 lakh, as reported by CNBC TV18.
