Noida: A delegation of the CONRWA Noida chapter met Additional Police Commissioner Dr. Rajiv Narayan Mishra at the Police Commissionerate office on Friday. Various problems of Noida city, especially those related to law and order and traffic, were discussed in detail in this meeting.
Major issues raised in the meeting:
Haphazard parking and lack of police patrolling: Chaos is spreading due to shops and hawkers in some sectors. Private drivers park anywhere on the roads, leading to jams and incidents like chain snatching. CONRWA demanded a yellow line system and regular police patrolling.
Parking problem in residential areas: Many people park their vehicles on the road outside their houses, which causes problems for other vehicles to pass through. It was suggested that yellow lines be drawn on the roads and legal action be taken against those who violate it.
Issue of beggars at intersections: There is a risk of jams and accidents due to the increasing number of beggars at red lights and intersections. There was a demand to control them.
Markets and liquor shops open till late at night: Despite the instructions of the government, many markets and liquor shops remain open till late at night, causing inconvenience to the nearby residents. There was a demand to control this.
Unauthorized e-rickshaws: Due to the increase in the number of unauthorized e-rickshaw drivers, chaos and accidents are happening at the intersections. There was a demand to take action against them and ensure compliance with the rules.
Violation of traffic rules: The traffic police were requested to run a campaign on the problem of two-wheeler drivers driving without helmets, three riders and driving in the opposite direction.
Verification of tenants and domestic helpers: Demand was made to make the process of police verification of tenants and domestic helpers simple and effective.
Control on PG operations: Verification of the residents of the increasing PG (paying guest) centres in the city is not being done, due to which the threat of anti-social elements is increasing. Demand was made to implement strict rules for this.
Action on impersonators: The need for proper action on the increasing activities of impersonators in the city was expressed.
