Noida: CM Yogi has taken steps regarding the problems faced in buying flats in Noida-Greater Noida. The Chief Minister himself talked about resolving the builder-buyers’ problems. He has talked about protecting the interests of home buyers. Also, he said that the registration of flats should be done on time.
What did the Chief Minister say?
The problem of home buyers is big and the people of Noida, Greater Noida and Greater Noida West repeatedly appeal to the Chief Minister regarding this. Meanwhile, on Monday, January 15, the Chief Minister intervened in this regard. A post was made by the Chief Minister on the social media (X) handle of the CM Office. In this post it was written, ‘Problems between builder-buyers in Noida/Greater Noida should be resolved quickly. We have to protect the interests of every buyer. The buyer should get the registry of his flat on time. Every necessary step should be taken for this.’
The Chief Minister himself talked about resolving the builder-buyer problems. He talked about protecting the interests of home buyers. He talked about getting the registration of flats done on time. In such a situation, the people of Noida, Greater Noida have once again got hope of getting their flats registered.
What is the problem?
The problem is that the builders in Noida, Greater Noida and Greater Noida West, whom people trusted, cheated the home buyers. Their projects have been pending for years. In many projects, no work has been done for many years. The builders either swallowed the money taken from the home buyers or invested it in other projects. Some people got possession of the flat after a lot of efforts, but their registration has not been done yet.
Why has the registration not been done?
The builders had taken the land on lease from Noida, Greater Noida Authority. In return, they had to deposit lease rent. However, the builders did not pay the dues of the authority. Due to pending dues of the authority, the authority is not issuing Occupation Certificates (OC) and Completion Certificates (CC) for the projects completed by the builders. The authority says that until the builders do not pay their dues, registration cannot be done.
The poor home buyers are getting crushed between the builder and the authority
The authority is not able to take its dues from the builders by being strict, whereas the home buyers have already paid the entire amount to the builder. The authority is blaming the home buyers for its failure to take its dues from the builders and is depriving them of their right to registry.
