Durga Pujo 2023: Bongo Moitri Cultural Society celebrates the festivities in grandeur ways in RG Residency, Noida

Noida: As the Asvina – Kartika month of the Hindu Saka Samvat approaches, festivities also begin with it and the Durga Puja and Dussehra are celebrated with charm and grandeur across the country.

RG Residency, Sector 120 celebrates Durga Pujo for the first time

It has been a great time for the residents of RG Residency Secor-120, Noida to have celebrated Durga Puja for the first time in the Society Premises. The Bongo Moitri Cultural Society of R G Residency made it possible with the active support of the R G Residency Apartment Owners Association.

The programme was inaugurated on Maha Sasthi by Reverend Swami Rajeeveshanandaji of Ramakrishna Mission, Delhi. The prayers and offerings and festive spirit of welcoming Maa Durga amidst the residents and invitees marked the spirit.

Residents experienced the Kolkata vibes inside the society premises

The design of the pandal (mandap) in a rural Bengal setting, thatch-roofed by using eco-friendly material, Pata Chitra, kulo – A grass tray for wheat dusting and Pattachitra is cloth-based scroll painting, based in the eastern Indian states of Odisha and West Bengal, known for its intricate details as well as mythological narratives and folktales inscribed in it, clay pots, lanterns and kansful – kans grass, Saccharum and traditional drummers of Bengal popularly called as Dakhi made the festive mood and indigo to come to the fore.

The large gathering united all the communities together with the Bengalis

Durga Puja is one of the prominent religious festivals, the occasion is marked by a large turnout of Bengalis and other devotees in their traditional dress and offering prayers and offerings with family and friends.

Cultural programmes extravagenza

The Society organised a cultural programme titled, Mahisasurmardini, Sarodiya Aagomoni, and a few competitions like Deepdan in which all age groups lightened the earthen light lamps and candles, Sankhadwhani, Ululudhvani also called uruli and Dance Fusion which included Garba – Dandiya – Bihu etc., reflecting traditionally the culture and connecting people with the rural Bengal and its festivities.

Lots of prizes and Anandomela

Prizes were also given to all, including the children who participated in various programmes, group dances and songs. The sweet and savoury was also served in the festive–mela called Anandomela. The Maha Sasthi and Maha Saptami were thereof celebrated with full engagement of the residents and others attending this auspicious occasion with family and friends.

During this, Bongo Maitri Cultural Society President AK Paul Secretary Arnab Saha and RG Residency Apartment Owners Association President Pradeep Jaiswal, Secretary Ashok Bindlish and Vice President Mukesh Sharma were present and encouraged the people by reaching the pandal of Maa Durga.

On Vijyadashmi – ‘ Ramleela’ depiction won hearts of everyone

A grand Ramlila was staged by the children of the society on the occasion of Vijay Dashami festival by Mata Katyayani Mandir Nari Shakti Samiti and a tableau was taken out from the entire tower, in which the devotees of all the towers worshiped Lord Shri Ram, Mata Sita, and Lakshman. All Ram’s armies including Pawan’s son Hanuman were worshipped. The tableaux of children mainly included the following.

Sita swayamvar scene, exile scene, Bharat Milap Scene, Abduction of Sita, Ram Shabari Milan, Hanuman Sita Mata Milan Scene, Sanjivani Mountain View, Lanka Pati Ravana Scene, Ayodhya Scene

At the end, all the tableaux ended in the courtyard of Mata Katyayani temple complex and all the characters staged Ramlila and Ravana Dahan was performed in which all the residents of the society and children greatly appreciated the staging of Ramlila.
