CBSE Board Exams 2024: No extension on the deadline for submission of LOC for Class 10, 12

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), has issued a notification regarding the submission of the List of Candidates (LOC) for the CBSE Board Exams 2024. The notice stated that the board will not grant an extension to the deadline for providing required information in the LOC for the forthcoming board exams.
The notification mentioned that schools are required to meticulously verify the accuracy of the data before forwarding it to the Board, strictly adhering to the specified deadlines. It also added that CBSE will not take requests for corrections pertaining to subjects or any other data subsequent to the submission of the LOC and there will be no opportunity to modify the uploaded information.
The official notice highlights the importance of schools to double-check the details they provide, of candidate names and the names of their mothers/guardians. This information should align with the records maintained by the schools in their admission records. The CBSE relies on the LOC forms to compile the names of class 10 and 12 students for the board examinations. Check the notice regarding LOC here and other details at cbse.gov.in.”Staff engaged for filling up of details should also be made aware of all the guidelines which are laid down in the said circular to avoid mistakes. Parents may also be briefed about the importance of correct data and the consequences if the wrong data is submitted”, the official notification states.
Previously, the CBSE had advised both school authorities and students to accurately list subjects while preparing the ‘List of Candidates.’ Failure to do so would render students ineligible to participate in the CBSE 10th and 12th board exams in 2024. The board has expressed concerns about students’ irresponsibility leading to the submission of erroneous details in the candidate’s form. The CBSE also emphasised that it is the responsibility of schools to ensure the accuracy of student data.
